Bridget, owner of Balanced Physical Therapy & Pilates in Charlotte NC here. If you’ve noticed I’ve been a bit quieter lately, it’s because I’ve been diving headfirst into the beautiful chaos of being a new mom! From the moment I found out I was pregnant, I knew I needed a solid support system to navigate the incredible changes ahead. Once I made it through the first trimester (hello, morning sickness! 🤢), I jumped into strength-based classes with The 360 Method while maintaining my regular Pilates class routine at Balanced Physical Therapy & Pilates.
Thanks to Dr. Colleen, Balanced Physical Therapy’s resident pelvic health expert, I managed pregnancy-related symptoms through Pilates and pelvic floor therapy. She also educated my husband and me with invaluable labor prep sessions and provided a wealth of wisdom as I navigated the early stages of postpartum. Throughout my pregnancy, I committed to functional strength training and endurance workouts with The 360 Method, all the way through my 41st week! At 10 weeks postpartum, I was back at it, ready to reclaim my strength.
Even as a physical therapist, I wasn’t fully prepared for the rollercoaster ride this journey would be. I’m incredibly grateful for the support of these experts who helped me every step of the way. 💪🤰
